What did Obama do for the education system?

This isn't a low blow shot at Obama. I voted for Obama. But I was wondering what has he done so far for the education system. I remember hearing some talk about changing the "No Child Left Behind" act but I never heard the final result. Are schools receiving more/less funding from the government?(I already know that the majority of school funding comes from local property taxes) Why are music programs still being cut out of school? What is the logic of that besides saving money? Was the Pell Grant increased?|||He is helping with the continued brain washing.

peace.|||The education system already IS what all Democrats demand it be. He will do nothing for it. Bet the house.

Since Democrats WROTE "No Child Left Behind" you shouldn't imagine they will change it, except perhaps by spending more on failing schools if AND ONLY IF they continue to fail.

Music programs are still being cut out of school because Teacher' unions (a completely owned subdivision of the Democrat party) demand it be so. here is NO saving as a result. The money is being diverted to pay the SAME teachers more to get the SAME results. That is what all Democrats always mean any time any of them mentions "education reform."|||Same as he's done for everything else, not much.
