What kind of education do I need to work with all species of animal?

I want to go out on my own and travel around the world helping animals from Africa to Antartica. What kind of education do I need? Monetary gain is not important to me. I have heard that there are only 10 people in the world that do this through private companies that are also interested in saving animals? How do I get there? What education do I need? Serious answers only please!!|||You would need a minimum of a Bachelors degree in zoology, biology, wildlife conservation, wildlife biology, or similar. Yes, there are VERY few jobs like this on the planet where you will just be paid by one company that sends you around the world. More likely you can probably get some seasonal positions after you get a degree and piece them together to try and stay employed year round. Most pay very little but do provide housing. This can give you the opportunity to do a lot of traveling and gain lots of hands on experience but don't count on making more than around $2K a month. You may be able to land a full time permanent position after racking up experience doing seasonal jobs for a few years. I did the seasonal traveling job thing for 7 years and visited 16 states and 2 countries during that time before qualifying for a permanent position.|||Any environmental management based course would be beneficial. Also any sciences based on biology, zoology, botany would be beneficial.

Saying all that you can travel and work in the sort of jobs you identify without any formal training in those areas.

I travelled to Costa Rica and did volunteer work. I had a friend who worked with Meerkats in South Africa for months. Other friends worked in an Amazonia refugee, others in Sumatra forests, etc etc. There are plenty of jobs out there (many are volunteer based, however they will provide you with food and shelter). A common strategy is to backpack and undertake volunteer work as you go around the world. You don't always need formal training, just a will to help.|||You need an education that will make you rich beyond your wildest dreams because that is what it is going to cost to do that. Your chances of getting a real job helping animals (as opposed to being a pain-in-the-butt activist) is minimal.
